Mazzilli Well Prepared

BROOKLYN, NY L.J. Mazzilli's well-developed talent at the plate has led the Brooklyn Cyclones to another win this season. As the son of former Met Lee Mazzilli, he has more self-awareness than most players do his age. Cyclones' manager Rich Donnelly attests to Mazzilli's experience around professional baseball.

"He's been around enough where, you know, some of these guys look around and have a glazed look all the time when they come into a situation like this," Donnelly said. "But he's been around, he's been in big league parks and he's been around some of the best players in the world — this is just a part of the process."
