Rockies get their 2B, add Scutaro from Sox

Scutaro gunned down at home in Game 162 for BOS.

The Colorado Rockies have made another trade. This time they fill the hole at the keystone by acquiring infielder Marco Scutaro from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Clay Mortensen. Scutaro will make $6 million in 2012, he hit .329 in the second half last season with Boston. 

It appears that I spoke too soon yesterday when I wrote that the Kevin Slowey for Zach Putnam exchange was the only clear trade win for Dan O'Dowd this offseason.
