| How Acquired: Drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 1st round of the 2008 draft.2008- Spent the 2008 season splitting time between Tri-City and Asheville. Made eight starts for Tri-City, posting a 3.25 earned run average. He struck out 50 batters in 36 innings of work, walking only eight. For Asheville, Friedrich made three starts, posting a 7.50 earned run average.Played his college ball at Eastern Kentucky University, where he posted a 1.43 earned run average his last season. He struck out over 100 batters in each of his three seasons in college, and threw over 80.0 innings each year. |
