|
1 |
Darin Holcomb |
TRI |
Holcomb has raked since becoming a
member of the Tri-City Dust Devils, and currently leads all Rockies
short-season players in batting. He has also driven in 30 runs in 50
games, and is batting .389 over his last nine contests. |
|
2 |
Riquy Pena |
TRI |
Pena has been a beast coming out of the
Dust Devils' bullpen, and shows no signs of slowing down. He has
already nailed down ten saves, and has struck out nearly a batter per
inning. Hitters are batting under .200 against him. |
|
3 |
Bruce Billings |
TRI |
Billings has been the ace of the Dust
Devils' rotation this season, and is proving to be an innings eater on the
mound. He has also shown the ability to get the strikeout, whiffing 58
batters in 49.2 innings of work. |
|
4 |
Randall Taylor |
CAS |
This kid may be the best reliever of
all the Rockies short-season players in 2007, as his statistics really jump
off the page. For the Casper Rockies, Taylor has appeared in 18 games,
and has an incredible 0.47 earned run average. |
|
5 |
Agustin Arias |
TRI |
Arias has been a cog in the Dust Devils
bullpen this season, and has been called on quite often. Arias has
appeared in 15 games for Tri-City, and has an earned run average of 1.23.
He is also striking out better than a batter per inning. |
|
6 |
Brian Rike |
TRI |
Coming off one of his better games of
the season, Rike has been great at the dish for Tri-City this season.
The young outfielder has .312 this season, and has driven in 17 runs in 25
games thus far. |
|
7 |
Bo Bowman |
CAS |
Bowman has appeared in 30 games for the
Casper Rockies this season, and has made only one error. He is also
batting over .300, and has eight extra-base hits, including two triples this
season. |
|
8 |
John Rodriguez |
TRI |
Rodriguez is another reliever who has
been used often for the Tri-City Dust Devils, and he is also doing a fine
job for the team. Rodriguez has appeared in 16 games for the team, and
has a nice 2.82 earned run average. He has also struck out nearly a
batter per inning. |
|
9 |
Michael Mitchell |
TRI |
Mitchell is a speed demon, and if he
can get on base more consistently, he will be looked at as a top of the
order prospect. He is batting only .272 this season, but already has
20 stolen bases in 45 games. |
|
10 |
Devin Collis |
TRI |
Collis has appeared in only seven games
from the Dust Devils bullpen, but he has been more than good in those
appearances. The young left-hander has an earned run average under
2.00, and is holding batters to a .188 batting average. |
|
11 |
Everth Cabrera |
TRI |
Cabrera is another one of the Rockies
young prospects who is batting over .300 this season, and has been used in
both middle infield positions. He has 23 runs batted in during his 42
games. |
|
12 |
Mitchell Lively |
CAS |
Lively has been great for the Casper
Rockies out of their bullpen, and has put himself on the map this season.
He has an earned run average under 2.00 this season, and is holding the
opposition to a .182 batting average. |
|
13 |
David Christensen |
CAS |
Christensen is one of the top young
outfield prospects in the Rockies organization, and is beginning to show
why. The Rockies 2006 second round selection has five home runs this
season, but has struggled with consistency. |
|
14 |
Cory Riordan |
TRI |
Riordan is one of those rare prospects
who can succeed from both the rotation, and the bullpen. In nine games
this season, making six starts, Riordan has a 2.90 earned run average, and
has looked sharp most times. |
|
15 |
Beau Seabury |
CAS |
The former University of Virginia
catcher is batting well in his first season of professional baseball, and
should soon be a top catching prospect in the organization. Seabury is
batting .304 in 19 games, and has not made an error. |
